Civil Ceremonies in Spain are only possible if one of the Wedding couple has residency in the country. However, in Gibraltar just  a short drive away, Civil Wedding ceremonies are available for any and all couples and are recognised Internationally.

Civil ceremonies can take place in the registry office, at the Alameda Gardens, at Mons Calpe Suite or at La Caleta hotel, there is an extra charge for ceremonies outside of the registry office. Times of Civil ceremonies in Gibraltar vary depending on the season, but there are various morning, afternoon and evening times available.

Some couples also choose the option of having their civil ceremony in private in Gibraltar and then travel back to Spain for their Romantic Blessing ceremony and Wedding reception. The most popular destination for this option tends to be Estepona as it is just a 30 minute drive from the Gibraltar border.
